For most events, buy the sphere

For wayfinding you need to be seen, not read. A $350 sphere at 120 feet does that job completely.

The blimp is worth its extra cost when a passing driver needs to know **who** you are. At a community event they usually already know; they just cannot find the entrance.

We would rather tell you that than sell you the more expensive item.

Helium

A sphere takes about 87 cubic feet, roughly $130 to fill. A 200 cubic foot cylinder is about $300 from a local welding-gas supplier and covers several events.

For a one-day event you fill once and that is it. Loss is about one percent a day, so nothing to manage across a weekend.

Is it safe around children?

Helium is inert. Manage the tether line as a trip hazard and supervise it.

Which size for a school fair?

The sphere. You need to be seen, not read.

Can several groups share one?

Yes, and it is a sensible way to justify the cost.

What if it is windy on the day?

It does not go up. Treat that rule as firmer at a public event.
